Concept and Art Direction.
Nike seasonal apparel catalog shoot, shot on multiple locations in Southern California. All shot with Yashica or Rollei TLR cameras. Included trips up to the top of a sketchy downtown L.A. hotel (set of the movie The Million Dollar Hotel), a beachside cliff near the Pepperdine campus and a sparse, isolated and beautiful inland desert locale.
The style, photographer choice and locations were used to help further the start of an undercurrent at Nike at the time: embrace the lifestyle aspect of the product being designed.

"Erik's last day at Nike was one of my happiest and yet saddest days here at Nike.
Sad because we would no longer be charmed and dazzled by his brilliant designs and easy-going personality. Happy because Erik's creativity would be unleashed on projects outside of Nike.
Erik understands the big picture on projects, he asks all the right questions, and thankfully works well with minimal direction. His designs are always fresh and relevant to the project – which is something to be said after reinventing the same wheel here at Nike season-in and season-out on catalogs.
Simply put, Erik is the kind of person you want on your team."
